Dear Rav Chaim,
I’m not known as someone that writes letters, but I couldn’t just sit back and not let you know how grateful I am for the unbelievable drashas that you gave to my shiur this year. I watched my talmidim grow in yiras shomayim and ahavas H-shem and where they are holding now that the year is over is amazing. You came in every week for almost the whole year and the bacharim are different people today. They enjoyed listening and watching a true talmid chacham give over real hashkafa and the lessons they learned will have a tremendous impact on them for the rest of their lives. The bocharim are davening with more feeling and understanding, and they feel that they have a purpose and are connected to the Ribono Shel Alom. What you accomplished with them by coming in once a week couldn’t be accomplished by a typical mechanic over a whole year every day. They are proud to be learning the Torah, serving Hashem and understanding why. Many people are scared to talk about the inyanim you spoke about, but you were able to give it over clearly with so much passion. I myself learned a tremendous amount from sitting in on the drashas. I speak for myself and my class and for their parents, THANK YOU! And you should be zoche to many brachas and Hatzlacha in everything you do in the future.
